iQ Ops Suite — Team questions

Reply extras mockup for Easy (spell check · edit · pictures)
Preview · noindex

Three adds to the reply thread

Same light Team questions look as today’s app (18px text, green cards). Now is what you have. Proposed shows spell check, edit-your-own-reply, and drag-and-drop pictures. Voice uses the v3.07 Talk button (green, same height as Send reply, under the box).

Eamon — that custom suit is looking sharp. Mockup is here if you want a peek: https://fes-estimator-mockup.pages.dev/ Are you in the office today?

Today: round mic on the far right of the box. No spell check underline, no Edit on your own replies, no way to drop a picture in.

Yes — I will look at the appoitment this afternoon and text you.

Change: the reply box turns on the browser’s built-in spell check (spellcheck="true"). Misspelled words get the usual red squiggle (shown here on appoitment). Right-click / long-press for suggestions — same as Chrome email.

2. Edit your own reply

Only the person who wrote the reply sees Edit. Three states:

(edited 10:52 AM)

Rule: only the author can edit their own message. Team replies do not show Edit on Easy’s messages, and Easy does not see Edit on someone else’s. After save, a small grey (edited 10:52 AM) note appears.

3. Pictures (drag & drop + Add picture)

Where the work would go

Spell check is the small win: turn on the browser’s spell check on the reply box (and on the edit box). No new database table — about a half day including a quick check on phone Chrome and Safari.

Edit needs a “change my own reply” API that only works for the person who wrote it, plus a small note that the message was edited and when. That means a short database change on the replies table (an edited-at time) and Save / Cancel in the thread — roughly 1 to 2 days.

Pictures would reuse the same media bucket the app already uses for Team questions videos (fes-crm-media in R2). Each photo gets a key like the videos do; the reply stores those keys. Cap uploads around 8–10 MB per photo, jpeg / png / webp only.

Pictures need a migration for attachment keys (or a small side table), drag-and-drop plus an Add picture button for phones, thumbnails before send, and tap-to-open after send — about 2 to 3 days. All three together are roughly a week of focused work, with spell check first if you want a same-day win.

v3.07 Talk button in this mockup: idle green #2F6B45 · listening red #d03b3b · same height as Send reply (48px) · mic + Talk / Stop · sits under the box, immediately before Send reply. Spec also lives in the mic mockup’s VOICE_BUTTON_STANDARD.md.
